bliss. pure bliss.

nothing is better than having your phone go buzzzzz, buzzzzz, and seeing the name of that boy appear across the screen. at least that's what i thought. i was completely wrong. there is something better. when you read the text and it says. "I'm in logan!!!!!!"

that ladies and gentleman, has put me in the best, giddy, blissful mood i've been in, in a very long time. 

homeward bound.

I'm coming home for the weekend! I'm really excited. Possibly even a little to excited. I can't wait to see  my family and friends. I guess what I'm really getting at is, Cheers to the Weekend!!! 

college.

i'm now officially a student of utah state university. 

and i think i'm gonna like it there.

and i'm already in love with the art department. 

especially tj. 

in the first ten minutes i knew this guy... this is what he said to me.

"girl! you know how to dress yourself!! you got some swag!!  but us art people always know how to dress our selves." 

he even had a nick name for me by the end of registration.

he should be my best friend. 

i also start training for my job in logan on monday. 

i can't wait to move up to logan. it's calling my name!!! 

to bad i have to get my wisdom teeth out on tuesday... 

so it'll be at least another week before the move.

one year.

it's been a year. exactly. and i am now positive that i can say i'm over you, and actually mean it. don't get me wrong, i'll still smile when i think back on the time we spent together. i'll still laugh at our inside jokes. and i'll still think of you as a friend. you just don't have a hold of me anymore. i'm free. and it feels wonderful.

that moment when i'm sitting on a barstool in sammy's patiently waiting for my pie shake. and a friend i haven't seen in some time walks through the door. we had a nice chat. (: and then i realized i've missed him quite a lot. we became quite good friends. but then he had to graduate and move on to bigger and better things.


is it safe to say i had a secret crush on him? and that secret crush may still be there?

i wish i could have sat and talked to him for hours. talking about everything and nothing.
i wish it could have happened the way it happens in the movies where we would forget everything else in the world and become lost in conversation.
that maybe just maybe he'd remember what he'd told me one day in photography "next year all be off to college. and when i come home on the weekends, i'll have to take you on a date." he probably doesn't remember...
life isn't like the movies. i keep telling myself that.

but i'm still hoping for that date.

- i enjoyed seminary. (which can sometimes be hard for me)
- shelton complimented me on my daily presentation. i like knowing i had a job well done.
- sundance ski passes. i can't wait for the snowboarding season.
- knowing i get to be the first to race my fish at lunch tomorrow (: your all jealous!
- being in a pageant. it's always been a dream of mine.
- finding out that people look up to me, and want to be like me.
- wearing a pretty dress. (even if it brought back some awkward memories)
- red lipstick. i'm obsessed.
- hanging out (doing gov. & cit. homework) with a friend, that i quite miss hanging out with.
- working on the S.P.F.H. (slide. project. from. hell. - dad named it not me)
- singing/screaming at the top of my lungs to the radio while driving.

in less than 24 hours i will be on my way to park city. for..... quilting retreat!! this is a very big deal. it's better than christmas. (:
