again with the awkward?

i honestly think my middle name could be awkward. breanna awkward hopkins.  yep sounds about right. it's either that, or my life is just one big never ending awkward moment. but you know what. i honestly don't mind. because in a weird way. it makes life interesting. it always provides a story. it never makes things boring! and when you look back, it just feels good to laugh about it. 

those awkward moments when..

• you get told to your face. " did you dye your hair? ohh well i hate when people do that it makes them fake.." umm i think you just called me fake. that's cool.
• you're trying to decide if you should write happy birthday, on the facebook wall of that boy you liked for three years, but now you just think he's really weird... really weird.. 
• you are all disappointed when you didn't drive past that boy you drive past everyday. because he always waves, and it makes you swoon.
• you have frozen fruit in your locker.
•  someone talks trash about something you love, and you just awkwardly stand there.. 
• you talk to yourself, and other cars while driving. ...as if the other cars could hear me...
•  you have to ask your little brother what time it is, because you can't figure out military time to save your life. 
• your hair lady says "you have to stop twisting, and playing with your hair. you are stunting it's growth." i apparently twist and play with my hair subconsciously.. 
•  we make music videos for wuthering heights.. but you love me!!
• you see that nasty couple at school... and you want to vomit.

life is awkward. embrase it.

you bloomin' idiot!!

we ask people to dances. we have some complications. it's okay (:

it all started out at the olive garden with my best friend and her parents. (i'm their second daughter, it's okay) and we decide to ask some gentleman to preference. so we brainstorm all dinner trying to figure out how to ask, because we live in utah, and we have to ask some creative way. finally we came to an answer thanks to kylee. 

the saying: Don't be a bloomin' idiot! will you go to preference with me? 

delivered with: flowers with rolls of paper on the steams one with our name on it.. the others saying stuff like

- nope

- keep going

- isn't this fun

- warmer

-warmest

- cold

-frigid 

- idiot

the next part of the story is when things get a little complicated. the asking. and let's be real every time you ask someone to a dance something goes wrong. it's a given! 

so starting at the first gentlemans house, kins and i had an argument on which house was his. ( i was right.. just saying..) so tori and i get out, and slowly walk up to his porch, i lay the stuff on his porch as tori dings the door bell. then we take off running. we both literally dived into kinsey's car! as tori yells "my phone!!!!!" and kins hits the gas and we book it out of there! we get to safety and we realize tori's phone is still laying outside of this boys house. so many emotions flew during these moments 

- kinsey: on the verge of tears, she thought for sure she had run the thing over in our great escape, or that the car now pulling out of his driveway was to hit it if she already hadn't. 

-tori: just repeating to herself "i'm an idiot!" "it's okay, i'm not worried about it.." "i'm an idiot!" 

- then there is me: i'm in the back seat. laughing so hard i'm almost throwing up! 

don't worry we rescued the phone, and it was not run over! 

then onto gentleman number two, once again tori and i exit kinsey's car, and walk up to his porch. i rang the bell this time. and we took off running. don't worry i almost face planted it. and looking back on it. if i hadn't caught my balance, i could more than likely have a busted nose, and missing teeth. this is no exaggeration. other than that.. nothing to epic happened at gentleman number two's house. 

and last but not least, gentleman the third. we get to his house, and well, tori and i decide, shoes off this time. or we really might face plant it. so we get all situated, and get out of the car. we take about two steps, and then at the same time kinsey (who is still in the car) and i see the person threw the window at the same time. the next few minutes consisted of screaming, jumping back in the car. and speeding out of there. don't worry we returned and took care of business, tori and i ran like mad woman down his semi sloped driveway. i literally dove into kinsey's car.. hahaa 

i would pay big money to have watched our faces on this lovely night! 

i haven't laughed so hard in a long time. 

my tummy still aches from the laughter, it's not a big deal. (:

blast from the past

i spent two hours with my mother today. looking at all her old pictures. had a few great laughs. discovered that my dad had a creeper mustache. also that my grandma was gorgeous! and people still make the same faces now that they did way back then. plus we found that certain people look like people. like zebbie looks like sarah. but there were some that sarah looked like her kids. and hannah looks like heather. but anyway.. all i'm saying is... one day i'm going to have a 17 year old. and they will look at all my pictures. and laugh and make fun. and that's mind boggling to think about..

so a cute boy who i haven't talked to in...well...forever... talked to me today.
it was kind of awkward.
knowing we used to be pretty good friends. and now we aren't.
and knowing that i used to swoon over the guy.. hahaa
but hey. it was a nice little chat.
once we got past some of the awkwardness.. and that awkward hand shake... and that awkward hug.. hahaa
and i'm not gonna lie.
i quite enjoyed talking to him.
i might have to talk to him a bit more.. (: just saying.

but here's the deal.
i get home after talking to this boy.
and i look in the mirror.
and i realize my face is totally pealing. and it looks bad.
i'm mortified!!
he probably thinks i have a disease..
great.. just great..

i'm cool like that.

sometimes i by accident.. hit keegan in the hall way.
i also sometimes confuse nate for my mother.

i love awkward moments like this. they make life interesting.. hahaa

sometimes i deep clean my room. and i find an extra credit assignment from my english class last year. from like october.. so it's like almost a year old. insane..

this paper was about the time i went and saw   .

i had almost completely forgotten about this adventure. and i laughed my head off when i found this paper.

i happened to go to this movie with brayden, alisha, and hailey.
and if i remember correctly..
-we saw brayden leaving as we were walking in. and talked him into coming and watching with us.
-i actually answered my phone in the theater, because brayden called me to ask where we were sitting. i got some great death glares.
-the movie wasn't that great.
-the movie was pretty sketchy.
-brayden could have possibly been the only guy there.
-i fell asleep. more than once. good thing brayden woke me up. hahaa
-brayden wrote down all sorts of quotes from the movie in his quote book.
-brayden said he thought about creepily holding my hand while i was asleep. just to freak me out. and lets be real i swooned at the thought of him holding my hand. and i wished he would have. hahaa
-this was before any of us could drive. so we had to be picked up.
-haliey's mom teased me about having a crush on brayden. hahaa


hahaa this was a great day. i'm glad i cleaned my room so i could be reminded of it (:
